Khobsangan marble stone belongs to the family of sedimentary limestones. This stone has a light background with irregular and broken lines in red, brown, orange that are scattered on its surface. The lighter the stripes, the more uniform is the color of the stone.
If there is carbon in marble materials, its color is light to black-gray, and if there is chlorite or silicate, its color is green. The color of red and pink is due to micro Hematite or manganese carbonate particles. It is also yellow and cream due to the presence of limonite. Khobsangan marble is widely used among other natural building stones and has many fans.
The color and design of this stone attract the attention of architects and are easily harmonized with decoration styles as well as other materials.
Due to the presence of magnesium, the specific weight of fine marble is higher than ordinary limestone. Calcite has a hardness of 3, but the hardness of magnesium carbonate is 3.5 to 4, so calcium and magnesium-containing marbles are more resistant.
Marbles made of pure calcite and used on stairs and floor or outside buildings are usually crushed quickly. While marbles containing magnesium carbonate are more durable.
